US Teacher Conducts Workshops in Sumgayit and Ismayilli06.04.2009

On April 5, Chon Lee, from Lincoln Middle School in Santa Monica, California, came to Azerbaijan on a reciprocal visit as a part of TEA program. He will stay in Azerbaijan for two weeks to work together with host teachers and TEA alumni Gulnaz Guliyeva (Sumgait) and Shukufa Najafova (Ismayilli). The two-week program includes a variety of activities such as trainings, workshops and class observations in schools in Sumgayit, Ismayilli and Baku, as well as some recreational activities.

On April 06 Chon Lee together with his Sumgait host teacher Gulnaz Guliyeva conducted a workshop on using Socratic methods in the classroom to facilitate discussion. The workshop took place in Sumagit Lyceum of Natural Sciences and was attended by more than 20 english language teachers.
