Book Club - Toni Morrison’s “Paradise”19.04.2010

On Sunday, April 18 the Book Club for US Alumni met at Baku Roasting Company to discuss Toni Morrison's "Paradise."  Ali Ismayilov moderated the discussion, and incorporated multimedia as he opened the talk with a clip of Charlie Rose interviewing Ms. Morrison about the book.  The group had an intense discussion of the roles of race and gender in Morrison's book, with many members feeling that the story was unclear or convoluted.
